Who is running these trials

Every organisation with five or more incretin trials on file — drug companies, hospitals and universities alike. Legal suffixes are normalised so one company appears once.

Sponsor concentration is one of the more useful things this data shows. Two companies run most of the commercial programme, but a large share of the registered trials are investigator-initiated studies at hospitals and universities — smaller, often single-site, and asking questions the manufacturers are not: off-label conditions, comparative dosing, health-system costs, and outcomes in populations the registration trials excluded.

Sponsors with eight or more trials get their own page, listing every trial on file, the molecules involved and any FDA record. Below that threshold a sponsor still appears in this index, but the page would be too slight to be worth publishing.
